A message from the director
During uncertain times, people turn to the arts. I distinctly recall the surge in museum-going and concert-attendance immediately after the 9/11 attacks. I’d experienced nothing like it before, and I found it inspiring. People sought the solace of beauty, and they wanted a strong sense of community. Today, we again are in a bewildering moment. Yet, we can’t go out for these consoling experiences through the arts. If anything is certain, we know that better days lie ahead.
Philanthropy is important in this moment, and we hope you will support institutions that are close to your heart. You are part of our WAM family, and we need family right now. Please make a gift to the Wichita Art Museum, and consider it an act of generosity to help WAM continue as a vital and meaningful gathering place for Wichita.
