Art Start is a program for children ages 3 to 5 to engage with art, imagine, and learn. The theme changes every two weeks, so come back regularly for a fresh take on the museum.

Color Combinations & Mixing available starting June 16
What is your favorite color? Explore colors in a fun way with story time, music, games, and a color mixing art activity to take home.
Abstract Daydreams available starting July 7
Bring your imagination along as we play, create, and find out that art is whatever we dream up!
Raven Returns available starting July 21
Step into a different world in our Preston Singletary: Raven and the Box of Daylight exhibition, hear the story, make art, and let Raven guide your creativity in fun and exciting activities.
While you're at the museum, instructions in your bag will guide you and your child to a selected artwork in the galleries and provide questions to lead a fun discussion. Then, take your Art Start Bag home and find instructions on a book, an art-movement activity, and an artmaking activity to go with the artwork you've just seen. Don't own the book? All books selected will have read-a-longs on YouTube. Don't have all the materials for the art project? We will include supplies for the artmaking activity in the bag.
