Winter/Spring 2019 Themes
January: Musical Art
For some artists, music and art are like mac-n-cheese--you can't have one without the other. Get your bodies movin' and groovin' to the beat and create a multi-sensory masterpiece with the sounds and colors of a sculptured symphony.
February: Richness of Diversity
In celebration of Black History Month, we share African-American traditions that help to shape family life. Our studio art will reflect the colors, shapes, and sounds that all of us can enjoy together.
March: Downtown Delight
Join our tour of the sights and sounds of Cityscapes as seen through the eyes of a mouse searching for a place to call home. With a variety of stable materials, mini builders will construct a town fit for those that love adventure and travel.
(Note: No Art Start during WAM's Spring Break Artcation March 12-15, 2019.)
April: Spring Has Sprung
Warm sunshine, pleasing rains, and gentle breezes bring the joys of spring after long winter days. Enjoy the colorful paintings of nature in the special exhibition Georgia O'Keeffe: Art, Image, Style as we explore how this artist shares the beauty of one of our favorite seasons. We will create our own tiny clay nature scene.
May: Bees, Butterflies and Bugs, Oh My!!!
Explore the hidden gems deep inside the Art Garden. Touch the grass, smell the flowers, feel the wind. Mold and shape a Model Magic critter of your own to nestle in your home or garden environment.
