Partnerships are the mainstay of savvy arts organizations, building synchronicity, sharing resources, and cross-fertilizing audiences. The Wichita Art Museum eagerly partners with other cultural, educational, and social service organizations.
If your organization would like to consider a partnership with the museum, please contact Courtney Spousta, curator of education, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Organizations and businesses may not offer cultural programs at WAM when renting the facility. Instead, organizations are encouraged to consider a program partnership. A collaborative program or event can take many forms. At the simplest level, the museum welcomes the organization to present its program at the building, promote the program in the museum's newsmagazine, WAMViews, website, and social media, and provide basic facility coordination during the program. Organizations should inquire about a possible program partnership no less than four months in advance of their event. This advance time allows WAM to include program announcement in WAMViews, the museum's newsmagazine published four times a year. For example, during the summer months when the museum publishes a May–August issue, the advance inquiry should occur no later than late March.
A selection of organizations with whom WAM developed program partnerships include:
The Kansas African American Museum
Mid-Kansas Jewish Federation
Tallgrass Film Association (pictured above is Tunes+Tallgrass)
Ulrich Museum of Art at Wichita State University
Wichita Public Library
