Murdock Mixology Speaker: Keith Jacobshagen

Thursday, October 24
5:30 pm complimentary reception
6:15 pm illustrated talk with the artist
7:30 pm optional dinner

Painter Keith Jacobshagen is a son of Wichita who achieved rare art-world acclaim. He grew up in Wichita and taught as a faculty artist at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, retiring in 2008. For decades, any major exhibition on the art of the Midwest and Plains has included Jacobshagen's hauntingly beautiful landscape painting. WAM includes the artist's Rain on a Soft Evening in Kansas (Hillsboro) in our permanent collection and museums incuding the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Art Institute of Chicago, and Norton Simon Museum in California also hold his art. Do not miss the chance to meet and hear from this esteemed native son of Wichita. You will be enchanted.
